Knaresborough's HIVE is an eco-education and action hub with a focus on creativity and imagination for families in the town and surrounding areas.
It's a tiny space with a big heart to learn, play, create and share ideas and skills. The space, nestled on Butter Lane just off Knaresborough's market square, has a cafe, shop, studio and office. We host events, workshops and learning programmes to bring new ideas to life. * We sell and serve Kihiihi coffee in our cafe which is grown and roasted by our sister HIVE in Uganda.
This is The HIVE 2030's HQ. We are piloting the HIVE hub model for the local community, developing our learning and research programmes and collaborating on local, national and global initiatives.
Knaresborough is a beautiful and creative historic market town with a wealth of active community groups, many with long and varied experience and skills. The HIVE, Knaresborough aims to act as a catalyst by energising and supporting the talent, creativity and enthusiasm already at work here and to further inspire grass-roots youth-led action towards our environmental and sustainability goals for 2030.

We are building our local HIVE's and the global educational programmes together. The aim of our partnership is to connect our youth, learn from our separate journeys and to share stories, skills and ideas to ensure the HIVE framework is globally relevant and inclusive for all.
